I bought this new and have made some modifications: stripped the coating and removed the last elevated finger groove (red circle in the pic is where the groove was). Removing it allowed for a better grip under the beard.
It is a user, but has lots of life left. The last 1cm of the lower edge is rough to the fingernail, but I think it could be sharpened out. Rest of the edge is great.
