First up is a Hinderer XM-18 (full custom, not signature series). This is a 3.5” slicer (gen 4) and includes a textured titanium scale. The scale was tapped by the previous owner to accept the gen 4 stop pin, then blasted and tumbled. Ridges were lightly polished, and the entire knife matches with an all silver look as you can see in the photos. No mods to the other components. Unfortunately do not have blade steel info.

The knife has only been ogled and fondled. Original edge (sharp), perfect centering, solid/early lock-up, and flips well. A shining example of the XM-18.

Next is my large Curtiss F3 with mods.

Previous owner did the mod work, including an acid-washed blade, anodized scales, new detent, and matching hardware (pivot, clip, screws, and backspacer). Color tones are purple and bronze. Blade has a mirror edge and is still decently sharp.

Though I only carried the knife for a few weeks total, it was a user when I got it with wear on the pivot/screws and some dings in the scales. The knife flips well, though it is not as smooth as a knife on bearings should be. There is a slight grittiness resulting from how the acid-wash in the pivot area mates with the detent.

The centering just barely favors the show scale. Lockup is solid side to side, but you can feel very slight up and down movement when the blade is open, though it is 100% secure with engagement around 50%. There’s also some lock stick - typically minor, but the lockbar will occasionally engage the lockface in a way where it is stiff and needs more pressure to disengage.

Knife has plenty of life left and would make for a great daily user.
