This is an approx. 1/4 scale 'Boy's Axe' made in the "salesman sample" style...The head is forged from hi-carbon steel, hammered, profiled, brushed and etched to give a original mill finish appearance...The handle is made from seasoned hard-rock maple and secured to the head via friction fit and a walnut tension wedge...a beautiful scale replica of the early American felling axe made in the traditional "Connecticut" pattern...Included is a simple pine log display stand....Overall length is 7 1/4"...No disappointments.

NOTE: This is NOT a toy and should be handled carefully ...IT WILL CUT!
