This one really hurts but I bought another grail and I carry my other Mini Typhoon instead of this one. My other is a user. This one is not and I don’t really “need” two of them if one of them is going to be a safe queen. This knife is about as close to perfect as you can get. Can’t find a blemish on it. The mill work is just amazing and Brian really knows what he’s doing. The scales have internal milling to reduce weight and the attention to detail is outstanding. Brian’s ramped detent is something to experience. It flips beautifully and will almost fall shut. Takes a little bump or two. I haven’t messed with the pivot so this can maybe be adjusted a bit if you desire. Personally, I like action that takes a little bump and so does my thumb. The blade is part stone washed and part satin. Flats are satin and the grinds are stonewashed. The fuller on this blade really is beautiful. Again, the details. Clip is stonewashed so it naturally has some texture to it but no scratches that I can see.
As said, the action is amazing on this knife. Lock up is good and the blade is centered. The photos are a little deceptive on the lock up due to the lock bar insert that sits down a little lower. Hard to photograph. Edge is original and I’ve never cut anything with it. I don’t think the previous owner did either. In some of the photos, there are some bright spots along the top and lower edges of the scales. These are not dings but rather where the milling wraps around the edge a bit by design. Again, the attention to detail on this knife is outstanding.
Here is your chance to own one of Brian’s Mini Typhoons that has some beautiful detail work.
No trades considered. Need the cash.
You know the drill. First “I’ll take it”, gets it. Please PM me with any questions.
Notice - Upon my acceptance of the sale with the buyer and providing my PayPal info, please provide payment within 2 hours. Otherwise, I'll move on to the next buyer unless the buyer works out an extension with me
