Up for sale is a used and sharpened Custom Shop Benchmade Crooked River with ladder Damasteel blade originally purchased directly from Benchmade for $520. It features a ladder Damasteel blade, carbon fiber scales, a red backspacer, and mini deep carry clip. Comes with original box and papers, but no soft cloth.
BL: 4”, OAL: 9.3”, Blade Thickness: 0.124”
I am listing this knife because, in my opinion, it is defective and I am tired of trying to remedy it. Specifically, this knife has side-to-side blade play unless the pivot is so tight that it stiffens the action. I sent this knife into Benchmade for warranty work but it came back exactly the same. As well, I have tried polishing the washers twice but it only improved the action marginally.
This knife has been carried, lightly used, and sharpened. The blade is in excellent shape. There are some small dents on both bolsters, and the pocket clip is scratched. Please see photos and video below.
This is an excellent knife for someone who might want to tinker with the action.
