I love David Farmer's work and I'm only selling this to get another bowie from him. This was purchased from another Farmer enthusiast, is unused and has the maker's edge, with just a few carbon spots from storage. This was called the "Big Ten", out of a series of bigger knives, so named for the whopping 10" blade. This knife combines aspects of a bowie, a chopper, and a short machete, as the specs show.
10" blade, 7" handle, 17" OAL
1/8" 1095 with the infamous convex grind (bleeding sharp)
False edge/swedge
Jobillo? scales, brass pins and tube. The scales taper toward the ricasso to facilitate chopping and choking up alternatively.
THE SHEATH deserves special mention: it's made of 2 layers of normal sheath leather and sounds like a wooden table when you rap your knuckles on it. Incredibly sturdy, nice retention, big wide belt loop too. Very robust and fitting for this big blade. Has some carved embellishments by Mr Farmer.
(Smaller knife and piggyback sheath not included)
It's yours for $165150 which includes CONUS USPS shipping in a whopping big box.
