Greetings friends, this is one I made back in 2017 when I was still buying and modding blanks. This blank was originally a tanto. But even back before I was making my own blades I had a fixation for wharncliffes, and so this tanto underwent surgery to become one. This is, in retrospect, kind of a weird design, and not one I ever have used or will use beyond opening mail. It just sits in a box. I never let it go, but now it's finally time.

Specs:

Stock Thickness: 5 mm

Overall Length: 12 1/2"
Cutting Edge: 6 7/8"

I might need that, it's very dirkish or Scottish sgian-dubh like. I like that one, something about the quirky design draws me in.

How girthy is the handle? Bushcraft knife bulky so it completely fills the handle, maybe a little thinner for an agile fighter or hunter?

Can the kydex take a teklok?

How girthy is the handle?

25.7 mm tall at the tallest point, and 23.6 mm wide at the widest point. It is a little on the narrow side, but my hand is sufficiently filled to bear down on hard cuts. Handle-wise I wouldn't hesitate to carve with it with my medium/large hands. It has thicker blade geometry more suited to a stabby robust fighter, but it is sharp. About 17° primary edge, with a 20° toothy micro that slices paper and shaves hair. I have always seen this as more likely a coyote knife or boar knife than a bushcrafter, but some people are versatile and creative, able to make tools work in roles others wouldn't have thought of.

Can the kydex take a teklok?

Yessir.

You sure have more then one style, from big choppers to small chef knives to designing folders. What’s next?

I eventually have to work up the nerve to finishing this:
