Up for sale, is a very special one of a kind, as received from Dan, unused and mint.
This pure-bred fighter was a custom project from Dan Keffeler. I had asked for something in the spirit of a Randall Model 14, in 3V steel, with the optimized “Delta” heat treat that he had developed with Guy Siegfried and Nathan Carothers.
Blade length is 7.5" and is .276" at the ricasso, which transitions to a compound swedge for weight management, and ends in a very sharpened swedge.
The tip is very acute as it should be for a fighter, but Dan has let me know he can thicken it up for harder use if you want.
The blade is 3V, with the optimized Delta heat treat. The tang runs almost the full length of the incredibly ergonomic handle, which is made from Terotuf with micarta liners.
Sculpted titanium guard is anodized, with a silver, copper, and nickel mokume accent.
I spoke to Dan today, and he let me know that the knife is under warranty just like they were the primary buyer. He also let me know that if someone wanted to buy one of these from him, he won’t be able to make one for at least 6 months due to how full his books are.
