Just got this terrific Dave Curtiss, (Curtiss Knives/Great Lakes Waterjet), "BMF" framelock, but unfortunately I need $$$ for a grail watch, (the other addiction), so the last one in is the first one out. I am the original and only owner.........it's been out of the case once when it arrived and once for pics. Never carried or used......
The detail in Dave's work is unbelievable, the honeycomb frame, the smooth finger grooves, the grip ridges on the spine, the serrated and milled trigger flipper, and the frame profile itself, I don't think I've owned a knife that felt so good in your hand.
Very smooth flipper action, (roller thrust bearings), the lock up is very early and needs a little breaking in, the lines of the recurve blade flow right into the frame profile......outstanding
The 3 3/4" satin finished S30V blade steel has a super sharp edge, Overall length is 8 1/2"......the frame and grooved backstrap are Ti......The the very detailed, and stylized clip is mounted for TIP UP carry. The entire package is bead blasted and anodized flat bronze.
