Hope everybody’s doing well this week. Thought I’d bring something other than spyderco to the table today. I invite you to take a look at this compound ground thoroughbred.
DDR Dominator plain Jane - level 3.5 with beautiful compound grind. Carried once (seriously!). This particular knife was thrown my way directly from Darrel as part of an attempt to make right a custom order that they screwed up. I must say, this has the most well dialed in detent & action of any DDR I’ve had. Only carried for a day because while inspecting the blade on that day I pocketed it, I noticed a small roll in the edge as it came from DDR, which annoyed the hell out of me. Rather than send it back and wait another eternity, I sent it off to be professionally sharpened. It came back to me just a few days ago with one of the sweetest mirror polished edges I’ve ever laid eyes on. While it was away being sharpened, another knife stole my heart, so I’m ready to kick this one to the curb. Centering is dead nuts, and lockup is solid with no play. There are a couple small scratches & fingerprint smudges on the presentation side scale. Blade is pristine! Knife has an incredible flipping action and opens authoritatively with the solid ‘thwack’ flipper enthusiasts love so much. This is a No box or papers with this one, but it does include a generic zipper pouch and Darrel’s direct line.
