SOG Specialty Knives introduced its Seal Pup Model # M37 in 1997 as a scaled-down version of its SEAL 2000 Model (# S37). This is an early, Japan-made example in very fine new old stock condition and includes its original sheath, box, packaging and brochure.
The knife measures approximately 9 inches in overall length and has a powder-coated, stainless steel blade about 4-¾ inches long with a clip point and a combination edge. The knife is marked with the “SOG / Specialty / Knives” logo on one side of the ricasso and “Seki – Japan” on the other side (see photos). The handle is Zytel and includes an integral double guard, finger grooves and a lanyard hole, while the sheath appears to be black composite (Kydex?) with a keeper strap of black nylon webbing (see photos).
The knife is in new condition, still in its cardboard sleeve with its original factory edge, all of its original gray, powder-coated finish and little or no sign of use, wear or carry (see photos). The sheath, packaging and brochure likewise are in new condition, while the box is in excellent original condition showing slight signs of storage wear (see photos).
