Survive GSO 5 SOLD
ESEE 5 , catch and release.
I recently picked this one up and decided it’s not for me. I’ve stripped the coating. Previous owner applied a convex edge , evenly ground and sharp ( much better cutting geometry that factory grind ). The knife has been tested on paper and paracord after being lightly stropped w green compound.
The ESEE 5 will come with the esee fire kit , waterproof storage for included fishing kit and compass. The steel has been scraped a few times ( it works , well ). I have an esee AH1 arrowhead I’ll throw in also . The fire kit and ah1 have Azwelke kydex sheath’s to attach wherever you’d like . The 5 sheath will come with a survive kydex belt clip , set up however you’d like.
.25 thick at spine , 1095 high carbon with rowen heat treat , through tempered at about 57 . Unconditional life time transferable warranty ( you’ll probably never need to use ).
** full disclosure. I got about 98% of the coating off the esee .. if held at certain angles one can still see slight traces of coating.. this is not a collectors piece that’s going to be worth thousands some day .. this is an esee 5 , beat on it , Baton seasoned wood with a bat , dig with it, chop with it , oil it often , sharpen and enjoy , these are really made to use and I’m not doing that right now so it must go**
