Here is a GEC #15 boys knife with a long-pull clip blade, mammoth ivory scales, stainless bolsters and pivot pin, and brass liners and pins.
$175 (because of small blemishes) including shipping CONUS and paypal fees. I can include the handmade leather pocket slip that is shown in the last two pics for $35. I can also do a custom slip for it if you are interested.
I made this custom from a '13 boys knife, keeping only the spring and the blade from the original. This is a special knife for me because, for the first time with anything I have made, I filmed the entire process. I am editing the video now and should have it ready early next week. For a little info on how I made the knife, I cut the scales out of mammoth ivory I got on the exchange and epoxied/pinned them to brass liners I cut. By this point I had already cut and soldered the stainless bolsters to the liners, and I had all the holes ready for pinning. After assembly, I finished shaping the knife and did some finishing sanding before I buffed it to a shine. This knife has a very solid feel with great "walk and talk". The previously mentioned blemished are from the pinning process, fine cracks developed in the ivory, but they have been stabilized and have no effect on the structural integrity of the scales. The blade has minimal side-to-side play, with no vertical play.I hope you enjoy, and thanks for looking!
