The Explorer is my concept of a North American bushcraft knife. This is a great choice for outdoorsmen and wilderness survivalists alike.

The steel is 5/32 inch O1 high carbon tool steel, heat-treated in an electronically controlled furnace to an RC of 59. The blade is equipped with a hair-shaving sharp and mirror polished scandi grind. 8-3/4 inches in overall length, with a cutting edge length of 4 inches.

The extra-thick scales are lacewood; a very tough, solid, and unique handle material. It's my first time working with it, and it won't be my last :dblthumb:. Because I can purchase it in large quantity, and because it's not necessary to stabilize the wood, knives with lacewood (and a few more of my handle materials) are discounted $40... my regular upcharge for exotic stabilized wood.

The hand-made leather sheath is made of 7-8 oz leather, stitched with waxed artificial sinew. It is dyed light brown to compliment the scales, and has a high-sheen water repellent finish.

Price: $195 plus $5.00 shipping
SOLD

The first who says "I'll take it" either here, through PM, or through my email gets it. I prefer PayPal, but am open to other methods of payment.
