Hey guys! I finally finished the two honyaki i mentioned yesterday on the other thread.
This blade was a fun challenge. Please enjoy the pictures and videos:








***Those horizontal lines in the unhardened part of the steel ARE NOT sanding scratches, it is actually the steel microstructure itself after the hamon polishing process as you can see the difference of textures between it and the hardened zone***
My smile next to something that almost took out my insanity and im not even talking about my wife.
250mm blade - 3mm thick at thickest point - smooth distal taper - rounded choil and spine for improved comfort - extremely comfortable handle - perfectly balanced blade - 47mm heel to spine wide
Needless to say this knife will perform insanely nice and im absolutely confident you will love this knife.
Some of you may appreciate the fact that in order of doing the hamon like this, i used kanahada in a similar way from the traditional polishing they used to do on genuine katanas. A mixture of traditional to modern techniques, thats why i used carbon fiber in the handle, an interesting combo of old and new.
sold shipped with zipped pouch included. 6~8 days worldwide. Can provide tons of references, soon will be having some members from this forums getting their knives delivered.
