Hey guys! Listing my first knife out of the recently delivered blue #2 san mai steel directly from Japan.

Its a 160mm utility blade taken to perfection in terms of geometry, grind and balance. It has 2,5mm on thickest point, 35mm heel to spine and an amazing smooth distal taper. Very thin grind made to highlight the blue 2 edge retention.

Blade is light, fast and easily become an extension of your hand when using.

Handle is out of presentation grade arizona ironwood, hand picked from my supplier. Highly figured in all facets of it.

Both choil and spine are fully rounded for your comfort.

Choil picture speaks by itself. It will slice food like a laser and since the thickness behind the edge is really thin, you will sharpen this blade fast and easy. Edge retention taken to its peak on this steel and grind.

Is this from your last order of japanese steel, either way looks like a great slicer. What RC are you shoot for with this steel?

Yep, this one is designed to serve as an all-around knife, like a smaller gyuto for when you dont need to chop and slice too much veggies, spices and meat. Perfect for daily use to make meals only for 1~3 people or to serve as a utility in bigger preps.

Im doing these at 62hrc, while the clad isnt hardened steel, blade is tough enough to be a daily without problems.

Just got delivered to me 3 nice blanks of Black&white ebony. One of the most exotic lumbers in the planet. Surely to be the most expensive wood i have ever spent on.

Not only rare to find, but even more to find this quality. Highly figured and not a single defect on them.

They are gonna be used to make some one-of-a-kind wooden sheaths, known as sayas. Might use it for a handle or two, i dont know yet. Just happy that this arrived. Buying exotic lumber is kinda my addiction lol.
