I finished this one a couple of weeks ago before heading out of town for a week in Golden, BC to take part in my sister's wedding. I got back yesterday, and knocked out these photos this morning. I'm calling this knife a tanto... though the materials and construction are not traditional. It has a full-tang and wrapped scales of faux ivory (from Masecraft) with brass fittings. The accent on the sheath uses the same synthetic ivory material.

Some Stats:
Length: 17-15/16"
Blade: 11-15/16" (Tip to Choil)
Steel: Differentially heat-treated 1095, Flat-Ground
Handle: Wrapped Masecraft Synthetic Ivory
Guard & Accent Plates: Brass (with mild steel pins)

The price for this one is SOLD shipped within the US. Please contact me concerning shipping outside the US. Buyer is responsible for determining the legality of this knife within their state or country of residence. I prefer payment via Paypal. If interested -- or if you just have some questions or comments -- feel free to shoot me a PM or email. My goal is 100% satisfaction; so if for any reason the buyer is not happy with this knife, please ship it back undamaged within 30-days and I'll send a full refund.

WOW ! Awesome indeed !
Erin i hoping you one day will develop an interest in smaller knives because i would love to own some of your very fine work.
I don't go much for large knives because i like to use my customs and don't ever need a truly large knife.
Congratulations.

Roland and Fatts... I'll keep you guys in mind and maybe throw together some smaller knives.

JFO... this knife started its life as 3/16" 1095. It's still about that thick at the tsuba.

Thanks for the kind words guys. This on is SPF.

Your blades have great lines, along with the fittings and leatherwork, they are exceptional works IMHO.

Please, how about: "carefully craft to the best of my creative ability". I think this really is what you mean, and Great. I look foward to seeing your creative mind and technical ability come together in a smaller, very useable knife.

{the following post is rated "S" for intense, heavy SARCASM}

Nah... I may be sanctioned by the guild for saying this, but knifemaking is incredibly easy... you just toss some steel and wood at these new-fangled machines and the knives practically assemble themselves. ;) I mostly just use my shop for taking naps away from the kids. :p

A very succesful combination of traditional and non-traditional inspirations...

A knife maker is defined by their last knife. You are a master that needs no further accolades.
