I forged this out of 5160 flat bar. I forged in the tip, the tang and the bevels. I then ground the bevels and antiqued them for a durable finish. This finish lets you chop all day and then clean off any smudges with some high grit sandpaper.
The handle is oak, mortised tang, held together with a flared tube, 2 peened pins, glue, epoxy, paracord with an epoxy soak. It is a large handle, allowing several areas of purchase.
The sheath is kydex with a leather belt loop. The loop is removable and reversible, allowing for right or left handed carry. Also, The loop can be removed completely, and the knife strapped to a pack with the webbing slots on it.
Dimensions
Blade - 8 3/4" tip to handle
OAL - 16 1/8"
Price - $sold shipped to US. I will ship internationally for an additional fee.
I have this posted elsewhere, so the first timestamp saying "I'll take it!" gets it.
