~SOLD~
Hello again, everyone. This has been a long time coming for me, and I'm very happy to say that I've got something I feel is worth the wait!
This is the same model of friction folder I've sold here previously, but this time featuring a new material for me; bi-directional carbon fiber, a particular kind of simple pattern that has sheets of CF alternating directions 90° each layer, resulting in an appearance similar to other multi-layer materials... until you turn it in the light (video below). When light shines along the alternating directions, it really stands out, so I tried to take pictures that show the light acting on the layers in each orientation. Though, you can really see the change as I turn the knife over in my hand in video!
It weighs in at 1.96 oz / 55.5 grams, and yet because of the structure of the CF, it has extremely little flex.
Some specs are below, followed by video and pictures.
Blade steel; CPM 20CV (Aim 61-62 HRC)
Blade stock thickness; 3mm // 1/8"
Blade length; 3" from tip to edge of handle
Handle material; Carbon Fiber (Bidirectional)
Handle length; 4.25"
Hardware; Stainless steel
(Two T15 Torx Keys Included, if the buyer wants them)
I'm asking $290CAD (~$220USD as of writing) PayPal G&S, insured and tracked shipping included to anywhere in North America. If you live elsewhere, different shipping rates can be determined and we'll adjust the price accordingly. I don't want to ship without tracking or insurance, it's equally important to me that you receive the knife safely as it is that you pay for it.
I'll have this listed in other places, so this thread will be updated if it happens to sell elsewhere. This has been a popular handle material for me so far; of the 5 made in this batch, this is the last one. I was somewhat hoping to keep one for myself, but bills need to be paid. Hopefully I can track down another sheet of this stuff for a future run.
There are pictures below the video. If there are any questions at all, please ask away.
Thanks for looking!
