I have my eye on a new toy and thought I might offer this up since I never really bonded with it. I am the 2nd owner and the knife has only been carried a few times and opened a few envelopes and possibly a package or 2 since I've owned it over the last couple years. The original owner said that he had never carried it or used it. It comes with everything shown in the pictures below so if you don't see it, it isn't included. Since I am not really a CRK guy (this was my first) I am unsure exactly what this particular knife came with new. I suspect the missing items are grease (since I used it), a cleaning cloth (although I don't know how it would fit in this box), and maybe a sticker of some sort. The box, packaging, paperwork including birthdate card (March 24, 2014), allen wrench (unknown if original), a CRK sheath, and the lanyard/bead, which are not installed presently is included.
OK, since this is my first actual sale post, prepare for a wall of text and specifics since I have no desire for anyone to be unhappy when dealing with me. The blade and titanium lock side look almost flawless with only a couple of extremely light snail trails, even under the most intense light. There is some light anodizing loss on one of the dual blue studs from trying to break it in. When I first received it, the grease had dried out so I took it apart to clean out the old grease and replace it. The blade favors the carbon fiber scale ever so slightly and I have included a picture of this.
This knife is in great condition but there is one fairly significant flaw with it even though it isn't all that noticeable. There appears to be a stress crack on the CF scale. This does NOT go to all the way to either edge nor does it go through the scale to the other side. It has not increased in size since I've owned this knife- it's stable but it's there. There are also no signs that the knife has ever been dropped prior to my ownership and I haven't dropped it either. I didn't notice this until a month or 2 after I received it at which point there wasn't much I could do with the seller. This flaw cannot be felt if rubbing the flat part of your finger across it. You can barely feel it with a fingernail but your fingernail won't catch in it since it's too small for that. As mentioned, I didn't even notice this myself until well after delivery and only because the light hit it just right. Having said this, I have added a bunch of pictures for you to look at, including the flaw on carbon fiber scale. I zoomed in significantly for the sake of full disclosure. The scale also has a slightly shiny spot between the lanyard hole and the back edge of the scale.
I have added a bunch of pictures that I took yesterday so please look at them closely as they represent the condition accurately. I am being brutally picky and brutally honest with my description because I want you to know exactly what you are getting for your money and be comfortable that you won't receive any unexpected surprises when dealing with me.
The asking price for this knife including fees and insured shipping with tracking in the US is SOLD via Paypal G&S. In most cases, I should be able to ship the day of, or definitely no later than the day after the payment is made. I will forward you a copy of the tracking number once it has been dropped off for shipment. If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thanks.
