Due to a probable lapse of sanity, I am posting this here to see if I can move her to a new home. Price reduction for being a user.
VC20 was a very rare steel that I believe Strider got in the form of bearings. It had applications in the space program. It rusts like crazy, but has some pretty otherworldly properties. If you want specifics, I think Sal has some data sheets on his forums (that I don't have at my disposal).
I'm not sure how long this will run. Probably until I regain sanity and put this back in my pocket. She's been sent off to Strider once for a thumbstud that would fall through. What you see if Striders official fix. I've never seen another like it. Pretty, right? Anywho I've used her hard, but properly. She has a good edge, but those with a WE would be able to get something hair shaving. Lockup is tight, no looseness which is cool. I usually marine tuf cloth the blade every week or so, and every few months I completely disassemble to clean out and re-lube the pivot workings.
