Description:
The N-3B parka was originally designed for the U.S. Air Force in the mid 1950s to keep air crews warm in the extreme cold weather like Alaska.
It became known as a ‘snorkel parka’ due to the way the hood zips up very high to keep the cold off the face.
N3B Parka Features:
Green, water-repellent, wind-resistant oxford outer shell (100% cotton)
Pile-lined, snorkel-style hood with drawcord closing and head-sizing strap with buckle
Hood has white faux fur ruff around the face (60% modacrylic / 40% wool)
Heavy-duty zipper with button storm flap
Drawcord waist to keep out cold air
2 large breast handwarmer pockets with snap closure
2 large flap pockets at waist/hips with snap closure
Utility/pen cargo pocket on the left sleeve
3/4 or thigh-length keeps entire torso warm
Reinforced elbows
Inset knit cuffs on sleeves (wool or acrylic)
Designed to keep our troops warm when temperatures are consistently below 14℉ (–10℃). Rated to –60℉ (–51℃).
