GEORGE HERRON MODEL 12 STAG FIGHTER
This George Herron model 12 fighter was acquired about 6 months ago, even though I had been looking for one of this quality for many, many years. The very-sought-after model 12 fighter is one of the harder ones to find, particularly in such perfect, original mint state. This one sports some nicely finished stag - and with Herrons, anything other than wood is considered much more desirable.
After a great deal of consideration, I've decided to sell it because it just doesn't fit into either of my collections properly. As you can see from the images, it's in immaculate condition, as if right off the maker's bench. The previous owner inherited it from his uncle, who had been gifted it by his good friend, George Herron sometime around 1980.
Overall length of 11 1/2", blade 6 1/2", perfect mirror finish (any lines and/or spots that appear are camera-related - the knife is perfect), original sheath with serial number # 1724, matching that of the knife. If you know anything about Herron knives, you'll realize it's priced to sell. No offers accepted. Ask a dealer about the pricing - and you'll probably see the dealer turn around and buy the knife.
