Greetings BFFs, here for your outdoor enjoyment is another of my absolute favorite machete design, the Barax machete. This one's light color scheme fits how light and fast it is, so it seemed only right to call it "Ghost".

With a long versatile handle, aggressive blade angle, and neutral balance just ahead of the handle scales, this machete can do a lot. Choked up grip will allow you to carve or fuzz stick without fatigue, or wield the blade quickly and with agility. Rear grip will lend power in the chop, but bear in mind the thin blade and grind is designed not so much for chopping, as for lighting fast slashes and agile direction changes, making his machete a suitable martial arts implement. The edge can always be reprofile more obtuse if harder use is intended. Also a great brush clearing design.

The handle scale material is a semi-translucent G10 known as Jade Ghost, and in the right light you can somewhat make out the camo pattern of the liners underneath them.

Some people are unfamiliar with 15N20 as a stand alone steel. My reason for deciding to work with it is it's said by quite a few makers to be fine grained, tough, take an extremely sharp edge, and be a breeze to touch up. I have found all these to be the case, and now have two EDC knives I have made for myself out of this steel, one for the shop, and one for public carry.

It is a carbon steel, so should not be submerged, and should be cleaned, dried and oiled after wet or dirty use. It should be expected to develop a nice patina over time, as my public carry EDC has begun to (it gets used on food). My shop knife has still not begun to patina). Full disclosure: I do not oil either of these two knives)

The knife comes in a ghostly white sheath and is equipped with a handmade belt clip of 1/8" thick kydex, which can be set up right or left, vertical, horizontal or diagonal.

Specs
Steel: 3/32" 15N20

Geometry: Full height convex

Overall Length: 20"
Cutting Edge Length: 14 3/4"

Weight: 18 oz

Handle: Black canvas Micarta bolsters secured by carbon fiber tubes, Jade Ghost G10 scales secured by 416 stainless pins and carbon fiber tubes, allowing for many lanyard configuration options (though this knife really doesn't need a lanyard due to the bird's beak butt), camo G10 liners.

Sheath: White Kydex, with belt clip and two Chicago screws.

SOLD, via PayPal G&S to the email address I will provide in private messaging (not the one in my sig). Includes tracked and insured expedited North America shipping. I will ship internationally at buyer's expense. First "I'll take it" gets priority.

Thanks for looking!

Thank you I forgot to put that in its usual place under "Steel" in specs. 3/32". Post updated also.

I am very much so, Martin, thanks for asking.

I have only one more of these left after this one though, and it will be a while before I can make more, since hopefully in the next few weeks all my LC200N and AEB-L blanks will arrive back from heat treatment and I have orders to fill. So if you want one of these come spring time, my suggestion is fill your boots! ;)

I'm glad to hear it arrived safe and sound and that you like it.

I just got one of these from David. Very impressive machete! Feels nice in the hand. Would serve great for brush clearing, getting rid of blackberry bushes, or just playing viking in your backyard.

I'm going to vote for the third option. ;)

Thank you friend! I'll send you a PM
