Blade-badness harpooned BEAST....!!
Fellow blade appreciateurs....I've had a good many custom knives... Back in 'the day', I would
have FIVE Brends in the desk drawer, including a one-off, for example.
But...THIS one, I must say, is, quite likely...the baddest combination of size-vs.-weight compactness,
super-tough 80crv2 steel at 5/16" thickness, super-sharpness, and an overall design that makes this
an incredible matter-separatin' tool....!!
- Should I be letting it go...? No; and...I've wrestled with it for a while.
- Should you be grabbin' it, before I relent, and pull the listing. Fer sure...
Specs and dimensions:
- Overall length: 17 3/8"
- Overall blade length, from hilt: 11 1/4"
- Blade height, at Harpoon: 3 1/4" ; before Harpoon: 2 5/8"
- Steel: 80crv2 (extremely tough schtuff; and what RMJ Tactical is using on their hawks...)
- Stock thickkness: 5/16"
- Weight: 2 lbs., 3.6 oz.
- Harpoon clip, not sharp/edged
- An edge-profile curvature, to enhance performance; and, super sharp....
- Handle appears to be one-piece G10, and...I added the HD rubber bands, which sit
well, to enhance grip.
- The finish is....well, not sure; bluing-like, but more brownish-gray-black. Looks great,
whatever it is...! Perhaps, like 'parkerizing'...
Hard to effectively capture the soul and substance..and scale/badness of this one, photographically...but,
you'll fully appreciate it, the moment you unpack her carton-of-carriage, and...put her
in your hands.....
{No sheath; but...I had intended to do a simple heat-and-fold of a kydex sheet, and then
secure just the bottom, and up the top a bit...to make for a quick-withdrawal config., with
one or two retention straps along the top/spine. As I've envisioned it, I think it would be
most apropos for this Beast...}
She should be going to an appropriate new home, where her every, and collective, virtue(s)
will be fully, and duly, appreciated. Please ensure that that is....you!
