My personal axe acquired from boutique knife shop I had on the watch for a darker handle with some grain for me. All of the ones in stock at the time of my visit were paper white. It's a reddish brown even though it shows much lighter in some photos due to LED's.
I used for a single branch of a tree at my home. It was overhanging my driveway. Never taken to the woods. No handle damage I can see from missed swings. I was the only user.
