Brand new. It has to be the most impressive knife I've ever handled, and that includes a lot of AG's and Schatts. It's just in another world with all kinds of details. Perfectly well made and clean inside and out. The rounded, pinched bolsters will have it less obtrusive in the pocket than it feels in your hand. Still has factory oil on it. Never used or sharpened in any way. The Gabon Ebony is very rich and thoroughly black. It looks like buffalo horn and it will stay that way. This knife is a vintage Cadillac of a knife. GREAT. 3 7/16 inch and very, very substantial.
