This one is now SOLD...

Just got this beauty but I am finding that for larger knives the tradtional isn't quite for me, so I'm putting this Great Eastern Cutlery #23 Pioneer with stag scales up forsale.

It's Serial # is 11, the stag is Exceptional!!!! on this knife, I'd keep it alone just for that! but it would just sit.

The blade was been sharpened by me, VERY keen and very well done, so she's all set to cut right out of the tube! Hair shaving sharp

Price shipped in the USA is $155 and I'll include the soft elk skin pocket slip sheath as well as the nice braided leather fob, BUT the bead shown in the photo will NOT be the one sent, as that is a custom bead that I'll use elsewhere...sorry :)

Payment is by US Postal Money order, sorry I don't have paypal.

Here are some images of the knife, very solid, there isn't any blade play at all with this, it has half stops, the pull is not too strong, it feels just right for a knife this size.

the scales swell out gradually to the end, fits the hand very comfortably!

and blade nicely centered as well.

here's a shot from yesterday with the knife resting on the slip sheath, the sheath fits well, blade towards the seam, the flap falls down over the knife to help keep pocket gunk from wandering in, also helps as you can grab that to draw the knife out of the pocket too.

I'll hate to see this one go, but as I look over the collection, she's just a bit too big overall for me.
Thanks for checking!

You sir have a Stellar Wife, if I may say so myself ;) and congrats, I doubt you'd ever find stag so well matched and with the way it swells out to the end like it does!

This one is now sold folks, thanks Jon,

Wow. Nice buy, hunterjrg. Beautiful knife. If you had not bought it, I would have. Enjoy! :)

And, Gary, hope you don't mind but I would like to use the basic design of that lanyard to make one for the garnet bone #23 that I have coming in. Some differences, but using the same concept.

Again, really nice knife. I love seeing these things. :)

By all means sir, that's why I posted a "how to make a braided fob" post, see this link here for more info

link to a thread I made on how to make a braided leather fob with a bead

While it's not being shown on a 'traditional' knife, the technique still applies...please note that I changed what I use as the stopper wedge from leather to a rubberized cork, one person noted he could cut up a piece of regular cork to good use!

Thank you, Gary! And thank you for the link. The leather lanyard just looks right on a #23. :)
