Hi guys,
Another cool piece of history here...
This one is forged from turret rim ball bearing of M18 "Hellcat", and i've tried to forge it to be a simple EDC user, with simple but nice horizontal carry sheath.

It's covered in this thread:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/sh...12508-Hellcats

Blade is treated as 52100.
Flats are left raw, just soaked overnight in vinegar and wire brushed after forging. After heat treatment, flats are brushed with scotch brite.
Bevels are made in satin finish with scotch brite.

Details:

Overall length - 8"
Blade length - 3 [SUP]5/8[/SUP]"
Blade width - 1 [SUP]1/32[/SUP]"
Thickness at the back of the spine - 5/32"
Tang is tapered to 3/64" at the end

Knife itself weights 4,3 oz, and with sheath it's 8,5 oz

For handle material i used two tone Textolite (vintage phenolic micarta over 30 yrs. old) , orange and blue G10 liners, brass pins and lanyard tube.

Handmade 13/64" thick vegetable leather sheath in dark brown color, made for left and right hand horizontal carry.

Looks great Dalibor as usual but you know what I am waiting for hopefully with your new makers mark. Can't believe no one has bought this knife and sheath combo.

Beautiful the way all those materials go together.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.
This one is sold.
