Another cool piece of history here...
This one is forged from turret rim ball bearing of M18 "Hellcat", and i've tried to forge it to be a simple EDC user.
It's covered in this thread:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1312508-Hellcats
Blade is treated as 52100.
Flats are left raw, wet forged and wire brushed after forging. After heat treatment, flats are brushed with scotch brite.
Bevels are made in satin finish with scotch brite.
Details:
Overall length - 9,1"
Blade length - 4,5"
Blade width - 1"
Thickness at the back of the spine - 1/8"
Tang is tapered to 3/64" at the end
Knife itself weights 3,52oz, and with sheath it's 7,23oz
For handle material i used figured acacia wood, black G10 liners, carbon fiber pins and lanyard tube.
Handmade 13/64" thick vegetable leather sheath, two tone hand tooled, made for right hand vertical carry.
Asking SOLD, priority shipping with tracking number included
