Secondary blade stamped: H.S.B. & CO., CHICAGO
I'm coming up short after paying off some surgery bills so here we go...
Not sure the age on this one. Pulls are 3 or 4s with halfstops and great snap on the main blade. Spring is very weak on the secondary blade going from the half stop to open and back, but good snap upon closing. Some blade play on both in the open, not horrendous but definitely noticeable. Main blade appears to be rubbing slightly. Some gaps in the backsprings and chipping in the covers near the rear bolsters and the liners are a little bent out of shape, all evidenced in pictures.
Despite the issues from the age of this knife, it's still a fully functional piece that has been used and carried a bit by myself. I've sharpened up the main blade and while the grinds aren't the prettiest, it is very very sharp. Got a bit of a patina going on from apple slicing. Pen blade has a working edge on it that will catch a couple hairs but needs a little refining. Scales are gorgeous, pins, shield, and bolsters all flush, really lovely knife that begs to be pocketed.
