How well do the studs work? When I had a 3 inch back in the day, I found myself having to put pressure on the lockbar when using the studs and it made it difficult to open. I'd be interested in making an offer if the thumb studs are comfortable to use.

I can open it easily with the thumb studs. I've held many xm-18s and Eklipses that I couldn't open at all with the studs. Hope that helps.
