First contact saying I'll take it gets it (post or PM)
Hinderer XM-18 3.5" Spanto Fatty with black/blue scale (original flat dark earth NOT included)
This guy was a user and has been sharpened on a Wicked Edge to 20dps so that it can slice and not just chop. The thick (fat) blade and spanto grind give a fairly wide bevel especially near the grind transition. Someone with a Wicked Edge and better skills than me can polish this up nicely - price reflects sharpening - includes box.
$350 - sold!
A word about detents as this is an issue for some folks with XM-18's
This Hinderer has a nice strong detent.
I am able to flip it without any wrist no problem. It is certainly not a weak detent (which is a good thing).
Please see the following direct from Rick:
"A side note for those of you who cant flip your knife open to your liking, this is not a warranty or service issue. There are plenty of threads on the subject in our online forums at bladeforums.com and usualsuspects.net as well as youtube videos that can help you. Oil, pivot adjustments, and technique is where you will find your answers .The same goes for blade centering, lots of threads and info on the forums to help you out"
"We do not do custom detent work, meaning we do not make detents lighter or stiffer, all folders are made to a certain spec, however it may not be absolutely perfect for you. An example would be for those of you that have trouble flipping your knife without using wrist, we do not stiffen detents. Or in the case of someone who finds the detent too stiff, we do not lighten them either."
