SOLD “Shipwreck” Copper Scales for Manix 2 SOLD

I'm not sure who made these scales.....I bought them on eBay a few months ago, and they came installed on a Manix 2 M390. These scales are really stunning, in my opinion, but they add a little bit too much weight to the Manix 2 for me. So, I ended up replacing them with some blue Teratuf scales, which aren’t even in same aesthetic ballpark, but better suited for regularly carried and used Manix. Before I switched scales, I wish I would have taken pictures of the shipwreck copper scales on the Manix, but I forgot. However, when installed, the fit and finish was excellent, with better centering and tuned action that I was able to achieve with the replacement Teratuf scales. I realize that the regulars on BladeForums probably know this, but just to be sure….these scales aren’t compatible with LW versions of the Manix….replacement for G10 scales only. Clip position is for right hand carry, tip up.

Condition of the scales is excellent. I don’t see any signs of wear, except for a few shallow scratches on the back (not visible when installed, of course) on one side, from my disassembly.

I’m asking $75 (PayPal F&F) - $80 (PayPal G&S) - for these shipwreck copper Manix 2 scales. Shipping from St. Louis by USPS Priority Mail.

SOLD Hogue Deka Magnacut with RC Bladeworks blue canvas micarta scales SOLD

I’m the original owner of this Hogue Deka Magnacut. I bought it a few months ago and liked the knife, but not so much the plastic scales, so I ordered some blue canvas micarta scales from RC Bladeworks. After a LONG wait, I finally got the scales in last week and installed them.

However, it was a total pain in the butt, as the fixed (notched) side of the pivot was wedged tight into one side of the Axis lock (or whatever Hogue’s name is for it) steel framework. It was even harder to reinstall the new scales, and I couldn’t get the axis lock frame seated right. After a little careful Dremel work on the side of the Axis frame that was stuck previously, the pivot seated well within the frame. I also had to sand down the non-blade facing side of the phosphor bronze washer, as a burr was sticking out and causing it not to sit flush. Anyway, everything is all together now, looks good, and is tuned up pretty well. However, now that all is said and done, I’m finding that this knife just isn’t going to replace my Bugout, which has a very similar size, weight, and of course, locking mechanism.

Condition overall is very good, with only exceptions being some scratches on the fixed side of the pivot from trying to pry it out originally, and the minor internal Dremel work that I mentioned previously. I haven’t carried it or cut anything with it.

I’m asking
