Holt Bladeworks Haptic - (M390) - Hollow Grind - $975 $895

This knife is in very good, used condition. No hard use. Just some cardboard and packaged opening. I have touched up the edge on my Spyderco Sharpmaker.
I have added thumb studs and thick bronze washers from Skiff and the action is buttery smooth and still drop shut. I will include the original bearings as well.
According to the NFC info card this was made 10/19/2020 and is #97.

It really is the perfect knife but I have some bills that need paid and need to let some knives go. I have a Holt Morpheus that I had customized and carry more.

Will include original box, birth card, original bearings and detent adjustment Allen wrench and everything you see in the pictures.

Hi Matt, I ended up owning this knife at the moment and I haven't found a better way to contact you so just going to ask here - the action is indeed buttery smooth on thick washers, and it's as drop shutty as it gets which is exciting, but I haven't had luck getting any of my other knives to work like that. I disassembled it and can see that both the washers and the blade area in contact are mirror-(or close to)-polished, is that the trick? In general, do you have advice on how to achieve this kind of action on other knives? Again, sorry for hijacking and resurrecting an old thread, let me know if there's a better way to chat with you about this.

Hey, I have also not been able to get any of my other knives to be as smooth as this knife on the washers. I think it has to do with the weight of the blade, the lower amount of lock bar pressure and the mirror polish on all contact areas and just the tight tolerances that the holts have. I do currently have thick washers in my Protech Malibu and it is pretty smooth and drop shut since it is a button lock. My advice for pretty much any knife is to polish the contact points as much as possible. I even polish the pivot that goes through the blade. Hope that helps!

Got it, thanks so much for the reply! Going to try mu luck with polishing the blade areas in contact. After having experienced this literal perfection it’s hard to give up on trying to achieve it elsewhere :)
