Hello BF,
Up for sale is an excellent condition Corniaud model slipjoint from French knifemaker Jérôme Bellon. This beautiful and incredibly-built knife uses a Forced/French Notch mechanism with a stop pin and, in addition to the Damascus bolsters and blade, features a forged, etched, and tapered spring. Mammoth ivory covers sit atop stainless liners. This knife is 4.61” closed, 8” overall, and weighs in at 5.5oz.
Great build with solid blade seating, superb fit and finish, strong spring, and near dead centering (it would probably look perfectly centered if the liners did not narrow towards the bottom of the handle). Very clean - difficult to see any signs of use or handling. Comes with a new leather slip. Originally $1400 new from Berthier.
