For sale (no trades, thanks):
The James Brand company's "The Carter" -- specifically, the out-of-stock BladeHQ XL version with VG10 steel.
Ambi-slider, thumb-disc, brown/green micarta, reversible clip, drop point, flat grind.
This XL version features a 3.25" blade and 8.00" overall length.
The knife has been carried/used a few times and so the blade features a few nicks, including one near the blade tip. I have tried to capture the flaws in the photos. Rather than sharpen the blade, I'm making up for the nicks by throwing in an almost-new QSP Penguin, D2 steel and green micarta.
For someone willing to edge out a few nicks and pick up a second knife in the bargain, this may be a good deal. The Carter comes with its wooden display box and lanyard insert tab. (TJB company does NOT sell a lanyard with this knife.) The Penguin comes without packaging, unless I can find it before mailing.
