Jared Oeser Zulu Pattern Slipjoint SOLD
Many of you know Jared's fixed blade knives and he has recently moved into making slipjoints. Let me tell you that I absolutely could not be more impressed. The fit and finish of this knife is stunning and on par with the top makers in the field.
There are no gaps, blade is perfectly centered, and the spring is flush at the closed, half stop, and open position. The only reason I'm selling this knife is it's a bit larger than I like to carry so it needs to go to a pocket that will take good care of it. The knife has not been carried or used and is in the condition that I received it in from the maker. Solid pull, I'd say a 6 or 7 but can be pinched open due to the Zulu blade profile. The edge is RAZOR sharp, so much so that I made a point to mention to Jared what an amazing job he did on it, especially when that is not always the case with custom hand made knives.
The specs are .103" thick CPM 154CM flat ground at 59 RC. Closed length is 4 1/8" and handles are natural canvas micarta over orange and black g-10. Liners, shield and pin are all stainless. Sale price is what I paid direct from Jared.
Pics are by the maker as they better show the craftsmanship than I'm able to with my iPhone. Knife is in condition shown.
