This is an even larger version of my XL chopper. It was made custom for a client, who is having financial difficulties now and had to pass on it for the time being.

The blade is hollow ground to a near-zero edge with a small secondary bevel to increase the edge strength while keeping a sharp edge. The finish is 400 grit, hand sanded on the flats and machined on the bevel, but not cosmetically perfect- this knife was built to see heavy use, so a quick, cheaper finish was agreed on to keep the cost down.
The sheath is 9 oz. weight black leather, with a keeper strap. This sheath is riveted (again to minimize cost), although I paid special attention to keeping the point and edge far away from the rivet locations to avoid problems (see bottom pic for close-up). I am willing to make and include a hand stitched leather sheath for $50 extra if desired- just allow a few days extra for me to make it up.
