Hi All,

John Campbell Saguaro Survival Knife
Made by Scorpion Knives in Sheffield, England.

- Very good condition. Never carried, used, or sharpened. I'm the original owner.

- 12-1/2" overall length, 7-1/4" blade (tip to handle), 6-1/8" sharpened edge. 1075 carbon steel.
- Polished black Micarta handle with red liners.
- Plastic lined Cordura sheath.
- Includes box shown.

In my opinion, this is a good solid knife, meant to be used. I think the production of it (maybe just mine) was a little bit rough. As can be seen from the photo, the handle scales are a bit uneven (forward facing surfaces - and by the same amount in back). The blade tip is a bit rounded (not sure if this was meant to be or not). Though the spine of the knife is mirror polished at the handle, there are a few coarser grind marks on top of the thumb ramp and just forward of the choil. The blade seems to have what looks like a somewhat course hand (or machine?) rubbed finish. There are a few very small light scratches on the blade. There is lighter spot near the John Campbell signature that I thought might have been rust and tried rubbing it out with a rust eraser. I now think it may be some over spill from the etching. As I stated earlier, I think this is a good solid using knife, maybe just a bit rough in the finish. Hopefully, I've covered all the bases but feel free to ask any questions. Sorry about the finger prints in that last shot.

SOLD $100 - includes USPS priority, insured shipping and a tracking number. PayPal or a money order work for me. For international shipping, the additional shipping costs will be added, which we can discuss.

Thank you for looking. The first "I'll take it" gets it. I can be contacted through email and PM.

Mike

I am interested with one reservation. The blade seems to be slightly misaligned from the axis of the handle. It might just be the angle of the photo but the blade seems to be skewed just slightly to the left as it leaves the handles.

Hi jbass, if I understand you correctly, you're wondering if the blade might be warped or bent slightly to the left as it leaves the handle. I think this appearance is due to the camera angle and maybe the slightly offset handle scales. I just spent a few minutes "sighting" down the blade in bright lights and the blade and handle appear straight and in line to me.

Let me know if I can help with any other information or whether I didn't answer the question you're asking. Thanks for looking. Mike

Looks like we may live in the same area. If so, you're welcome to check it out in person.

Hi, Mike. Given your perfect feedback score I will accept your representation about the blade. So, I'll take it. I'll send you a pm to get your e-mail address for a paypal payment. Thanks for your taking the time to answer my question.
