Well, it's been about ten years since I took delivery of Dan Keffeler's The North Sword
Videos;
Blade- 13.75"
Overall- 24"
Stock- .22"
There is no other knife design I've come up with over the past twenty years that captures who I am and what I do more perfectly than this design. So, it was with a heavy heart, a knot in my stomach, a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye, that I decided to part with a companion which has been by my side during thousands of hours out on the trail, after being used at least dozens of hours during that time.
There is no more dependable tool of this type that I've ever seen or used, and I can tell you that from my experience as a professional trail builder- I've used this blade A LOT!
I'm askingSOLD$2800 USD plus shipping, (Paypal G&S) for this super rare, one of a kind piece- handmade by the great and fantastic DAN KEFFELER.
It's used, and has the patina to prove it. It smells like the forest. It comes with the original plastic sheath that Dan supplied, plus this bomb proof leather scabbard which I made. I've been looking around for the original sketch, which I think I still have, and it will be included if I can find it.
The steel is from Carpenter, and was a micro melt of PD#1. Not many blades out there made with this extremely high performance, limited run alloy. The fittings are titanium and the handle is Terotuf. The turk's head knot was something I added, and it's not epoxied so it can be removed easily.
I took these pictures just now;
Thanks for taking a look!
