Very little effort required to bring this antique head back to working order - just a light clean, polish and edge strop...beautiful differential heat treat zones are evident. This is one of the sharpest axes you will ever find. Full profile head...minimal impact indication around eye. This is an early 1900s pre-True Temper Kelly Works axe, with a long life ahead. Standard ovid eye will take a new handle easily....10 1/2" overall length. You simply cannot find this quality anymore...this is the best hundred dollar axe you will ever buy.
