Hello all!

KNIFE IS SOLD!

Please read the whole post.

Up for sale is a Knifecenter exclusive Spyderco Para 3 with a Black Cruwear blade and some Smooth Black G10 handles.

It has a Lynch Northwest deep carry clip in black installed. For a lower cost I’ll just keep it and reinstall the factory clip if you wish.

Im also including a KnivesPlus Black lanyard tube delete plug. I would offer to supplement this as well but when removing the factory lanyard tube (first time for me) I put some scratches on the tube I’ll include the factory tube as well just in case. It’s not destroyed Just some scratches.

I planned to keeping this one as Cruwear is my favorite steel but times are tough.

Knife is new, never carried, never cut anything, not even paper. Comes with box and paperwork.

Perfectly centered, not drop shut but a smooth swing shut action right now. Will break in nicely.

For purchasing the normal “I’ll take it” in this post followed by a PM gets it.
Asking $OLD! TYD including the LNW clip.
Asking $OLD TYD with just the factory clip.
Prices are PayPal G&S
Shipped USPS priority with tracking.

Any questions please feel free to message me.

Thanks for looking, and thank you BladeForums for hosting us!

Hello
I have never taken any of my PM2 or Pm3s down. I know on the manix2 you have to take the knife down to get the lanyard out. So stupid question , is that the same for a PM3 ?
Thanks
Vince

Greetings!
I haven’t done a Manix, but, to get the lanyard tube out on a Para 2/3 you have to completely disassemble the knife.
Then, the lanyard tube is flared out at the ends and locks them into the scales making it feel like you’re going to break it when to remove the lanyard tube.
It feels scary. After trying a little bit I ended up looking up videos and it’s pretty much just force it. Some people just pry the scales apart but i was afraid of chipping the scales
I ended up using a leatherman to pull the lanyard tube out which worked but scraped the tube a little.

Yes
it is pretty much the same with the Manix2. The big difference would be that dreaded bearing, cage and spring!. Not to waste your time here but, I sometimes struggle abit when re-assembling some Spydies, to the extent that some times it is hard to dial them back in to spec.
Thoughts ?
Thanks

Oh man everyone’s got their own process on centering that’s always right! Haha.
I usually snug the pivot first, then snug all other screws evenly. Then tighten pivot, then Tighten handle screws evenly.
If I get past the snug part and it looks off center you can “shift” the scales parallel to each other to “preload” the knife and move the blade to the desired location and tighten down. Sometimes it requires some hand origami to get the knife held right while tightening everything down.
lots of good videos on this as well. They all say similar but varying things.

Well I like it . I have one and was thinking about a user. If I can get funds together before some one else grabs it then cool.
Thanks for the info

Hey there, just a heads up if you start disassembling para 3’s sharpdressedknives.com actually has a specific tool to remove the lanyard plug…I have one and it makes it incredibly easy…

No I just wanted to make sure about the take down and reassembly. I like OG condition. You def sound like knowledgeable about take-downs. So what does the tube look like that is on it now?
