I was on Dan's list for like 6 months waiting for this one and it is a beauty! However, I am thinning my collection and have to let a few go. I got this one and immediately sent it to Mashed Cat to have a nice kydex sheath made with a leg strap which set me back about $90. You can take the leg strap off and put a large Tek-Lok on to carry it higher on the waist otherwise the drop leg system is wonderful. I have had three of these sheaths from Mashed Cat so far and no other sheath that I've had compares to theirs!
I carried this one once this winter and cut a couple of things but that's it. It has a small rust pit on the edge on one side which you can see in one of the pics but that will come out in one sharpening. It has yellow liners and black canvas micarta scales.
Blade Specs:
6″ of 3V*steel, hardened to 60-61 HRc, 0.22″ thick, Flat grind, Swedge,*Brushed finish on flats, satin-finish on grind, large guard, thumbgrooves, spine rounded at handle front
Handle Specs:
5.5″ long, made from 1/4″ thick handle material, aluminum corby pins, pommel strike with lanyard hole. Canvas micarta handle heavily sandblasted*for a super grippy better-when-wet finish
I need to get $OLD for this one including Priority Mail with DC and insurance in the USA. Price includes Paypal fees. I'll have this posted for sale on more than one forum.
