Hi Folks-
We built this knife last month for a customer and discovered at the last minute that there was a blemish in the ivory on the right handle. Basically curved grain showing on the top. It is readily apparent in the photos. Not the kind of work we normally do! This can happen sometimes when working with natural materials. We re-made the custom knife, and set this one aside. I figured it would made a nice knife for someone, especially at a discounted price. It is made of CPM 154 and pre-ban ivory. Price is $125 just to blow it out... Like all of our knives, this one will come with a basic leather sheath and an awesome walnut box.
Specifics are:
Model: Kudu
Serial Number: KD0014 (new serial number system implemented Q2 of 2014)
Blade Steel: CPM154CM High Performance, liquid nitrogen cryogenically treated, double tempered stainless steel
Steel Hardness: 61 Rockwell C Scale (each knife individually tested)
Blade Finish: Satin Finish - helps mitigate potential scratching issues when the knife is used in the field.
Bolster and Pommel Material: 416 Stainless Steel
Handle Material: Ivory
File work: hand-filed "Vine and Thorn" pattern file work (along top of blade)
