I am the original owner. This has only been lighly used 3 to 4 times. I have sharpened it on 800 and 3000 grit stones, and the edge is nicely polished/defect free. The handle is cherry. Other than my sharpening and a very slight blue patina that's just started on the core steel, this is like new. These retail for $250.
