Steel: Hand Forged 1095 with Hamon
Handle material: Micarta bolsters with Maple Burl scales
Construction: Three brass pins and one mosaic pin, Acraglas
Fileworked Tang
Sheath - Hand made died and tooled heavy leather
OAL - Just under 9"
Blade - 4.125" tip to handle
Edge - 4.25"
Blade thickness: 5/32"
This has been gently used and shows just the tiniest touch of patina/mottling on the edge bevel on the last 3/4" near the point and a few very light dots of patina on one side of the blade. Great blade for camp tasks (no recurve plus finger clearance for food prep, still big enough to notch wood and sharp enough to dress an animal. I liked this knife so much that I sold it and ended up buying it back a month later. It's time to finally let it go.
