G’day all! Here’s a medium sized chopper ready to go. I call it medium because there’s larger options out there but this is still pretty dang big.
Steel is .2” x 1 7/8” in 5160 with professional HT at 60/61. Hand sanded to 600 grit for clean satin finish. Balance at the finger choil.
Edge before sharpening was .015” or so and the blade glides through phone book paper, leather, rope etc.
Dimensions: 11 3/4”” OAL, Tip to Guard 6 3/8”
Wenge Scales with stainless pins and lanyard. The handle feels great in my average sized hand in the various grips. Finished with multiple coats of Danish oil and carnauba wax. Sheath is lined with a fine felt like material.
Very affordable at only $165 to your door for this one, and of course your satisfaction is my only priority. I can accept paypal, check or MO, and the price includes fees and free shipping in the US.
Thanks so much for looking and please feel free to ask anything here or via PM. I can email the full resolution photos as well.
John Cahoon
P.S. I’ve also got 1 more close cousin to this one with a concave tip, and 2 cool mini choppers that could be finished to your specs if it’s within my abilities.
Oh and here’s an action shot before sharpening:
Went pretty deep eh?
