Up for sale is a mint condition Emerson Pro-Tech CQC-7 auto, stonewashed 154CM chisel ground tanto blade, black anodized aluminum frame with green G-10 inlays, includes pocket clip for tip-up carry, nylon pouch sheath, original box & documentation.
This one was purchased from a fellow knife collector. He carried it once and tried to improve the factory edge by sharpening it but wasnt happy with the result, so it ended up in my collection. What Ive done:
- Inspected the knife, it was as he described, LNIB condition with a personal sharpening done to the blade, no blade play (rare for an auto), fires hard, no wear marks / scratches other than a sharpening mark near the plunge line & two very light scuff marks on the clip.
- Reprofiled the edge to a mirror polish using Edge Pro Apex (to 10K grid), followed by freehand burr removal on the flat side, & finished with a few very light strokes on the strop.
Ive not personally carried it since its only legal to own but not carry in my state. Therefore, Im listing it as mint due to the fact that the edge has been reprofiled. Other than that, the knife is virtually brand new.
