This one has had multiple owners but did not show any signs of use when I purchased it. The action isn't broken in yet so I would bet that it's been a safe queen. I did carry it a few times after the modifications so there are a few light snails that I was able to capture in the photos. My camera sucks so I'll be happy to take more pics or videos if needed. Obviously the warranty is voided on everything except for the edge. I'd bet they would work on the washers and hardware, though.

Here are the modifications:

  • A previous owner had the scales milled by Cap City.
  • I sent it to Way of Knife for DLC coating on the scales and clip, and satin blasted hardware. WOK did not DLC the clip the first time I sent it in, so the clip went out with a separate DLC batch than the scales did. Because of that, the finish is very slightly different - scales have more of a sandblasted texture than the clip. I would bet that WOK satin blasted the clip along with the hardware when I sent it in the first time.
  • TiConnector zirc studs installed by me.
  • Polished edge matching the factory convex grind.
The blade is clean with no signs of use. I gave the edge a high polish on my Wicked Edge, matching the factory convex bevel. This was a very time consuming process and I had the knife in my vice for several weeks, working on it off and on. Both edges were sharpened separately. I started with diamond stones from 1500 to 2500 grit, then micron lapping films from 9 to 3 micron. Starting at 1500 grit left the factory scratch marks just barely visible under the polish, in the right lighting.

For the straight edge: I ran this grit progression at 10 different angles to achieve the convex grind. The apex is at 21.80 degrees and the lowest angle was 17.40 degrees. I stepped down about 0.50 degrees each time I ran the grit progression. Angles were then blended in the 6 to 3 micron emulsion on leather strops.

The tanto edge has the same 0.50 increments and grit progressions at 6 different angles, starting at 16.80 degrees and ending at 14.50 degrees. It's razor sharp and looks pretty sweet with that convex edge reflecting all over the place.

Comes with the full CRK kit: original packing, birth card, wrenches, unopened grease and lock tite, and cloth.

This knife is posted on other trading forums so I will honor timestamps when I have a buyer. If it is not marked sold on this thread, it's available. Thanks
